1993 Upper Deck Cy Young National League Greg Maddux Baseball Card #488 Like-New Condition. Ships USP First-Class.Despite playing in a park known as a hitters' paradise, Chicago ace Greg Maddux mowed through the National League on his way to his first Cy Young Award. Tom Glavine seemed a virtual lock to win the award as he owned a 19-3 record in mid-August, but Maddux turned in a stellar second half, going 10-3 with a 1.93 ERA to pass Glavine and win the honor. Maddux dominated the league, securing top- three finishes in innings (268), wins (20), starts (35), opponents batting average (,210), ERA (2.18), strikeouts (199) and shutouts (four). His 20 wins enabled him to lead the Cubs in victories for the fifth consecutive season and made him the first 20-game winner on the Cubs since Rick Reuschel in 1977.
